Ornamental Plants
An ornamental plant requires its gardener to do specific work and activities to maintain the beauty of the plant. For example, bonsai is considered as an ornamental plant because it requires regular pruning. Additional kinds of ornamental plants include the rose, lily, the pink oak and morning glory.
Some plants that are considered ornamental can be also used for other reasons. For example, lavender is normally grown as an ornamental plant, but it also can be grown as a crop plant for the manufacture of lavender oil.
